Playa de la Negra is one of those secret corners of La Gomera that only the most determined adventurers manage to discover. Located in the Alajeró municipality, this virgin cove of black volcanic stones stretches about 250 meters in length, remaining virtually deserted even during high season. The reason for its tranquility is precisely its difficult access: reaching it requires a hike of one and a half to two hours over rocky and irregular terrain, a small price to pay for enjoying a completely wild and uncrowded beach.

For those who make it there, the reward is spectacular: crystal-clear waters ideal for diving, where it's possible to spot trumpet fish, parrotfish, moray eels and all the rich marine biodiversity of La Gomera. The natural vegetation surrounding the beach adds a unique touch to this isolated spot. It's the perfect destination for nature lovers seeking pure wilderness away from crowded beaches, provided they come prepared with proper footwear and supplies for the trek.
