Restaurante El Diablo offers one of those dining experiences you can only have in Lanzarote. Located in the heart of Timanfaya National Park, at the Islote de Hilario, this restaurant delivers something truly unique: food cooked directly using geothermal heat from the volcano. No conventional ovens here—meats and vegetables are grilled over an open pit carved into volcanic rock, harnessing the temperatures rising from below. It was the brilliant César Manrique who conceived this original concept, transforming a lunar landscape into a place to enjoy excellent cuisine.

The restaurant opens daily from 12:00 to 16:00 and is hugely popular among visitors to the Fire Mountains. While prices are slightly above the island average, the complete experience makes it worthwhile: dining surrounded by spectacular volcanic scenery while watching the earth's heat work its magic. Portions are generous, and the volcanic-grilled chicken is the signature dish everyone wants to try. An essential stop when exploring Timanfaya National Park.
